Our Mission
To provide a welcoming environment for worship, learning and community engagement — inspiring understanding and connection through Qur'anic teachings and prophetic traditions.
“Indeed, with hardship comes ease.”Qur'an 94:6
The history and people of Tawakkulia Islamic Society, serving Bradford since 1969.

Founded in 1969, Tawakkulia Masjid has been a cornerstone of faith and community in Bradford. It was established as one of the region's first purpose-built mosques.
Through the dedication and sacrifices of our elders, the mosque has grown into a spiritual and educational hub — serving generations with daily prayers, Islamic education and community programmes.
As our community grows, we are embarking on an exciting expansion project to enhance our facilities, including modern classrooms, a larger prayer space and dedicated areas for sisters.
To provide a welcoming environment for worship, learning and community engagement — inspiring understanding and connection through Qur'anic teachings and prophetic traditions.
A vibrant, unified Muslim community, rooted in Islam, contributing to Bradford and beyond — with a masjid fit for the next generation, insha'Allah.

Tawakkulia Islamic Society is supported by a dedicated team of scholars, Imams, teachers and committee members who work together to serve the Masjid and the wider community. Through Islamic guidance, education, community service and effective management, they continue the legacy of those who established and developed Tawakkulia over many decades.

At the same time, traditional activities including Qur’an education, daily Taleem, Tafseer programmes, Islamic lectures and community events remain at the heart of the Masjid.
